Welcome to the Beatbullying and Shaun the Sheep Comic resources for young people.
These activities are specially designed for children between the ages of 5 and 11. The activities are a combination of things to do online and offline - some activities you can do on an interactive whiteboard, some are games or craft activities.
The activities are divided into three sections: green, blue and pink, whilst each section has three activities or games apiece. The idea is that by working through each set of activities, the children are introduced to more complex concepts as they progress, whilst having fun at the same time. Also later activities call on concepts developed in earlier ones, so following through in sequence is quite important. On completion of the final pink activity, you can download Certificates for your young people and have a presentation ceremony if ewe like!
Before starting, it is advisable to get your group or class to take part in a few icebreakers. These will introduce the basic concepts of friendship work to them and also familiarise them with the characters of the Shaun the Sheep Comic.
The activities can be completed with fairly limited resources: pens, paper, card, string, tape and so on. For the final activity, a printer with paper transfers and some blank white t-shirts is ideal, but if funds don't stretch, we're sure you can find creative ways around the problem!
We'd love to hear what you think of the activities. If you'd like to take pictures or a video of your sessions, we'd love to see them!
